The Clarendon Academy converted to Academy status, in partnership with The Education Fellowship, in December 2012. This followed the most successful six months in our history, with our best ever GCSE and A-Level results and an OFSTED grading of “good” with “outstanding leadership.”
We are an average sized academy of 1,086 students with a thriving Sixth Form and a truly comprehensive intake. We are one of three secondary schools in the Wiltshire county town of Trowbridge, on the doorstep of beautiful countryside and close to the cities of Bath and Bristol.
Over the past four years the academy has been transformed from special measures to good with outstanding features. We radically changed this school – now we need to make it great. We have focused sharply on teaching and learning, achievement and standards.
We are a thriving school, created to deliver outstanding education for all children who come to us.
Our commitment is to the highest standards for every child, providing excellent teaching and learning to ensure that all students reach their full potential.
Our Academy partners, The Education Fellowship, are helping us to forge unique links with prestigious universities, independent schools and business; we have unique partnerships with the world renowned Winchester College and with the John Lewis Partnership / Waitrose.
As an academy we are an independent school and we organise learning slightly differently from the traditional secondary school. Our student groupings, our curriculum and our lessons are all tailored to ensure that we are able to deliver exactly what our students need to become successful adults.
We do hope that you enjoy reading about us and we look forward to meeting you, if you would like any more information about us or would like a tour of our school do not hesitate to get in touch.
