Clarendon GCSE Results
Once again Clarendon students have demonstrated that hard work and commitment brings great results. The number of GCSE passes has improved on previous years and the number of students who have passed the prestigious English Baccalaureate has also increased and is well above the national average.
The average attainment of students has also held firm from last year’s best ever results. 53% of the students achieved C grade or higher in Maths with very similar grades for English.
Principal Yvonne Jorden said ‘We are tremendously proud of how the students and the teachers at the academy have worked in order achieve these results. Many students overcame great personal adversity to achieve results beyond their expectations. For the first year, we have also gone against the national trend in that that boys and girls achieved equally well.’
Vice Principal Catherine Szabo added ‘These results will enable all our students to progress on to their chosen courses and we look forward to hearing about their further success in the next stage of their education’
